Weekend Cat Inspiration Celebration VI

Miracle kitten found in trash!

Watch this little guy go.

Don't act like you're not impressed by that guy. It's ok to watch this more than one time.

Use for inspiration as needed.

Lexi

Say hellooooo to Richard.

Richard's an adorable cat with heterochromia. Look at those eyes!

Richard was saved from a shelter when he was two, as well as his brother Toshi. Now it's Richard's dream to help save older cats who need forever homes! You can join the dream by heading to your local shelter or ASPCA. You'll know what to do next.

Welcome back!

This week, I'd like to introduce you to Kevin and Uno: A three-legged cat and a one-eyed dog.

Cats and dogs hanging out? Kills me every time. You can follow them on instagram over at @elbisho

So let's all hear it for all the awesome cats ( and dogs ) that make our lives suck that much less!

Love,
Lexi

If you don't have one of these love buckets or want to sponsor one, head over to your local shelter or ASPCA. Unfortunately, there is no shortage of animals over there that need help.

Meet Theo, an adorable little ginger kitten.

He was found under the hood of a car this July in Brazil. The awesome people who found him realized his levels of cuteness almost immediately and took him in. Check him out:

Is he not crazy cute? You can follow his growth over at @theo_the_ginger_cat on instagram

Remember, you don't have to discover a kitten under the hood of your car to get some cuteness in your everyday life. There are tons of kittens and cats at your local shelter or ASPCA just waiting for a good chin scratch.

Lexi

Hey, do you guys know about this Instagram thing?

I can get lost in that application for hours. Recently, I stumbled upon an account dedicated to a ridiculously awesome rescue kitty…who only has one eye! And she's still totally gorgeous. Her name is Elle. Check her out:

You can follow her story and growth on Instagram @oneeyedkittyelle. She's pretty addictive.

Things like this stir up that itch to go rescue a kitten. Or two. Or three. Anyone else have that problem? I usually calm myself down with a little bit of Kitty Cam. Warning: this can increase the itch. Watch at your own risk.

Lexi

I'm a sucker for a good saved animal story.

Maybe it's because many moons ago my man found Squirrel hanging off the bumper of a truck going 80mph on the 101. Squirrel was so small he didn't even have any of his glorious fur yet, and he was covered in fleas and mites and then some.

Or maybe it's because I spend too much time on BuzzFeed, reading about every cute kitten that gets a new home.

Whatever the reason, the point is I'm a sucker. So when Lil Bub made her way to San Francisco, I knew I had to show the love. She was just as awesome in real life as she is on the internet. Maybe more so, if you can believe it.

Learn more about Bub here

So every weekend, let's celebrate all those awesome survivor cats! As our way of helping out, 15% of every CatScarf goes to help animals in need.

Luckily, you don't have to stumble on a feral kitten in an abandoned barn to help out. There are tons of kittens and cats in shelters looking for homes. Check out your local shelter or ASPCA for some good old fashioned love.

Lexi
